The golf game for people who hate golf!

A silly physics-based golf parody where every golf course is a new surprising type of golf, some brilliant or hilarious, others so absurd they will make you go: WHAT THE GOLF?

WHAT’S NEW?

We update the game regularly to keep it fresh and toasty. We do monthly (more or less) special days, where we put your favorite holidays through the golf-grinder. And every few months, we drop a new, big episode.

Newsflash 14/03/2024 🔊🔥WHAT THE GOLF? is out today on PS4 and PS5!

Newsflash 02/02/2024 WHAT THE GOLF? is now playable on Apple Vision Pro. After working hard on our spatial adaptation of the game, we’re just really excited to fling horses and launch cats into a new tech frontier!

EPISODES

Episodes are permanently in the game once released and can be played independently from the main campaign. They are accessible via the "Episodes" section of the main menu.

  • Sporty Sports 🤾‍♀️🏅 🏑

Did you know that pole vaulting, table tennis, and giraffe painting were golf? It's called SPORTY SPORTS! and it’s the first and least sporty episode for WHAT THE GOLF?.

  • It’s Snowtime!

Winter is finally here (pending on where you live!). Check this frosty campaign, complete with snowpals, moose, cars, and ice cubes of course. We also added snow just to make it look like golf. So don´t panic. Everything is still golf!

  • A Hole New World 🐕🌭🍩

    Holes? In golf?

We thought holes would be a nice addition to the game so we added about a thousand of them (more or less). Enjoy lots of hole-some new levels in this episode that is all about holes.

  • Among Golf 🤫🧑‍🚀🔪

We love Among Us so much that things got a little bit out of control. We made a full episode dedicated to our top 3½ favorite game, it’s called Among Golf. It's full of things you can golf: crewmates, vents, wires, eggs, toilet paper and more.

  • Slime Time! 🟢☣️👨‍🔬

The golf lab is in disarray, which means that the new episode has 50+ levels of chaos, slime and things that have come alive! The episode is now live on iOS devices 🍏 and will come to other platforms soon.

GAME MODES

  • Daily Courses & Special Days 📆🏆

Come back every day to play new courses and win a bunch of more or less useful prizes. Sometimes, we even celebrate beloved holidays like Cheese Lover’s Day or World Maritime Day.

  • Local two-player party mode 👯‍♂️

Compete with a friend in a cavalcade of very, very, very serious 😆 golf courses. Choose to play as household names such as Toaster, Hockey Dog, or Burger Bird, in races to reach the flag and win the final round. Party mode is available on Nintendo Switch™ and PC only (where it can be played online with friends using Steam Remote Play)

About Triband

WHAT THE GOLF? is developed by Triband — a small team working to surprise players and break genres while simply having fun. They are based in a lake-view office in central Copenhagen, Denmark, Europe.

Bits and bobs

Triband is ruining golf for everyone who enjoys it and for everyone else they are trying to fix it and it’s hilarious.

First there was golf, then mini golf and disc golf. We present new classics such as horse golf, space golf, and boss fight golf. said Triband Creative Director, Tim Garbos. Hitting things and see them fly is by far the most fun, but why limit this to small balls?

Over the past year, Triband has created a new golf-inspired game a day and over this slow descent into madness, they’ve started seeing golf everywhere. All games are golf games to them. When you see a platformer or a goat simulator, they just see yet another potential golf game - and they are all going to be part of this game.

Golf is always the same: perfectly round balls, 18 holes, blue sky, neatly cut grass and fancy people in nice clothes. What's not to hate?

In the 60’s, NASA went to the moon to see if they could make golf fun. Guess what? They couldn’t. So now we are giving it a go.
